Whitney & Jonathan at Auberge du Soleil

April 2015

Nestled in the eastern hills above the Rutherford Bench, the expansive view in the late afternoon sun over Yountville and the Napa Valley from the balcony at Auberge du Soleil provided a breathtaking setting for Whitney & Jonathan’s intimate destination wedding. The ceremony, witnessed by eight of their closest family and friends, was like a scene from a movie. Immediately followed by a cocktail hour to take in the view, they sipped champagne and sampled delicious canapé. Then the party adjourned to a private cottage and dined on an exquisite six-course meal expertly prepared by Auberge chefs. The celebration was capped off  with a stunning cake from Alexis Baking Company. T.J. Salsman Photography captured the day in still photographs while Silver Tie Films put together the video you see here.

Traveling to the Napa Valley from Cincinnati and many points east, the group made the most of their destination wedding by adding adventure days both before and after the event. Sonja coordinated a couple “Family Wine Tasting Days” for the party, scheduling tastings at some of our favorite wineries in the valley. She even took care to order box lunches from Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bakery in Yountville, so they could picnic while out and about.

And as the Napa Valley can be difficult to get a table for dinners, Sonja made sure to make reservations at a few different favorite local restaurants to ensure they’d have a great vacation.
